Jeremiah 29:7

Colossians 1:19

Because of the gospel, we are called to:
1. Plant gardens: Invest in the long-term. Put down roots.
Develop ministries that grow slowly but fruitfully.
2. Build houses: Establish a stable, visible presence. Be a
refuge in the neighborhood.
3. Multiply, not decrease: Don’t operate from scarcity.
Dream and risk—even when numbers are small.

The church is called to actively seek the shalom of Tucson.

True Contentment
1 Timothy 6:6-19

First command: "Pursue righteousness" Grow in virtue

Second command: "Fight the good fight of Faith" Rejoice in God and trust Him.

Third command: "Take hold of the Eternal Life"  Live it now!

(NIV)

Finding Contentment

Serenity Prayer
God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the Courage to change the things I can, and the Wisdom to know the difference; living one day at a time; accepting hardship as a pathway to peace; taking, as Jesus did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it:
Trusting that you will make all things right If I surrender to your will; that I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with you forever in the next.

Next:
Living one day at a time; accepting hardship as a pathway to peace.
If I surrender to your will; that I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with you forever in the next
1 Timothy 6:6
The equation:
Surrender to God’s will in our life + accept the hardship that comes our way as God’s will for us = Contentment & Contentment leads to Godliness
