THINK
1. As you think about this message, think, “how does God want my beliefs and or actions to change? What is one thing I can do to bring about this change?
2. How have you sensed God’s leading in your life? How did you know it was God? How did you respond? What was the result?
3. Why do you think it is so hard to sense what God may be saying to you or leading you to do?
4. In Acts 8:26-40; Philip is told by the Angel of the Lord to go down the road from Jerusalem to Gaza. How do you think the Holy Spirit told him to do this?
5. It would be so much easier if God spoke to us audibly. Why doesn’t he do this all of the time? What if he did, would you obey him any differently then when he speaks to you in other ways?
6. The Eunuch asks Philip to explain the passage he is reading. Have you ever been asked to explain the Bible to someone? What did you say? How did that person respond?
7. There were two callings in this story: the call of Philip to share the Gospel and the Eunuch to accept Jesus Christ. What happened when both accepted these calls in their lives?
8. How have to accepted God’s call on your life whether it was to share the Gospel with someone else, or accept it for yourself? How did this change your life?
PRAY
Jesus-I sometimes wish you would speak to me in a very clear audible way. It would in many ways make it easier to know what I should do. However, I’m grateful that I can hear from you through the Bible, events in my life, and through other Godly people. I pray that when you call me to do something, that I would know it is you and obey. In your name I pray. Amen.
LIVE
What do you sense God is calling you to do today and even this week? Is he asking you to serve someone, to pray for someone, to share the Gospel with them in some way? Get going, and start doing it!

THINK
1. As you think about this message, think, “how does God want my beliefs and or actions to change? What is one thing I can do to bring about this change?
2. Why did you become a Christian? What were the specific reasons? Were any of the reasons selfish? Were you trying to please someone, impress someone, or satisfy your own desires?
3. Simon the Sorcerer believed and was baptized. Why did he believe in Jesus Christ? What was his motive?
4. Peter says that Simon’s motive was bitterness. What was he bitter about?
5. Have you known someone who became a Christian for purely selfish reasons? What was the result?
6. Have you ever been fooled by someone, even someone close, you thought was a Christian but in the end really wasn’t? How did this impact you and your faith in Jesus Christ?
7. Why can’t you buy the gift of God with money? How do you then receive it?
PRAY
Jesus- I want to believe and follow you because I need you and your gift of grace. I’m so sorry for any selfish motive I might have had in following you and being a part of your church. I thank you for the gift of your Holy Spirit. Thank you for giving it freely. In your name I pray. Amen.
LIVE
Do a gut check: Why do you believe in Jesus? Why do you continue to follow him? Is it out of an expectation that you’ll receive something or is it because you really need him?

THINK
1. As you think about this message, think, “how does God want my beliefs and or actions to change? What is one thing I can do to bring about this change?
2. Think about the last argument you had were you were wrong. Who was it with? When did you realize you were wrong? What were you focused that caused you not to see the truth? What helped you to see that you were wrong and the other person was right? Why is it so hard to accept truths in these situations?
3. Stephen was brought before the Sanhedrin to explain why he spoke against Moses and God. Why was this a serious crime?
4. Luke says Stephen’s face looked like an angel before he gave his testimony. Why does Luke mention this?
5. Stephen gives a very detailed testimony. What does he want he religious leaders to see or recognize through his testimony?
6. Why don’t the religious leaders recognize the truth about Jesus Christ through Stephen’s testimony? What were they focused on?
7. Who have you shared the truth of Jesus Christ with only to have that person or persons reject it? Why did they reject it? What were they focused on?
8. What were you focused on before you accepted the truth about Jesus Christ?
How did your focus change? What helped you to see the truth about Jesus Christ?
PRAY
Jesus- Thank you for leading me to see the truth of who you really are. You are my Lord and my Savior. Please help me to keep my focus on you. Help me not to get tripped up on things that I may think are crucial to my relationship and worship of you. Help me to always see you clearly. In your name I pray. Amen.
LIVE
Think about those person or persons who have rejected God’s truth. Pray for them everyday this week that their focus may be turned so they can see Jesus for who he really is and accept him in their lives.
